SIGNIFICANCE IN VEDAS

In India, Hindus strongly believed in VEDAS.  It is said that Lord Brhama has told our ancient Rishis about the rules and regulations for a man to lead life in the Stotras (Sacred chanting) form which is called Shruti or Vedas.

Astrology is an oriental science and is part of Vedas and hence is called a Vedanga.  There are six branches of Vedas namely Shiksha, Vyakarana, Jyothisha, Chandas, Nirukta and Kalpa.  Jyothisha is astrology which is considered as eye of Vedas.
